Snow….Snow….GO AWAY…..(AND DON'T COME BACK)

The national weather service has issued another winter storm warming for Portage Co. through Wednesday morning- of course "our" county and of course during the week of finals!!  This morning I received a "warning" on my phone in regards to driving:

Preparedness actions...A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow and blowing snow will make travel hazardous.  Remember that lake effect snow showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be intense enough to drop up to 2 inches of snow per hour for several hours. Visibilities vary greatly and can drop to zero within minutes. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Anytime you're advised to bring food, blankets, and a flashlight in your car if you plan to drive - its probably a good idea NOT to.  But classes weren't cancelled today until 1 o'clock and this was the obstacle course I drove to-and-from campus.  YIKES!!!

18-wheelers making their own lanes…

Usually a four lane highway - how many lanes do you count?
