Playa Del Carmen was a breath of fresh air and we had an amazing time with our AMBA friends. It is always a treat to catch-up with everyone, mix and mingle with the newbies, and just spend time with the group, especially since for the most part, everyone is spread across the states. We had a blast bartering on 5th Avenue, relaxing on the beach, enjoying beverages poolside garnished with fruit and umbrellas, fiestas with amigos, and our trip to Xel Ha where we snorkeled, jumped off cliffs, rode bicycles, and tubed. It was the perfect getaway and it was extremely hard to return to reality, especially since it was dark and rainy when we got off the plane here in Columbus, a gigantic transition from the sunny 90 degree weather we traveled from. Lucky for me, I have the daily reminder of a peeling forehead (yes just part of my forehead because apparently I'm not the best at applying sunscreen evenly - Kyle can vouch) to remind me of the sunshine. Needless to say, I am missing the fun, sun, and friends!
