Cinco de Mayo..

Really...it is just the 5th of May. Honestly, I have no idea why we as Americans think to celebrate a date that commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Which leads me to my next thought...Is Cinco de Mayo even celebrated nationwide in Mexico or is it an embellished date that we here in the U.S. use as an excuse to wear sombreros, eat tacos and salsa, or enjoy cervezas and margaritas. Regardless, I'm not going to be the party pooper on this one or rain on the festivities that accompany Cinco de Mayo…I love it!

To commemorate the holiday this year…we enjoyed a fiesta of Dos Equis and tacos with amigos! What a blast! Feliz Cinco de Mayo amigos!!
