hocking hills state park day #1...
the rock house
dexter turns out to be our very own “mountain goat”....
literally thought he was about to die 1,000,097 times...ridiculous!
the rock house
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills....
airplane rock
Dexter knows “his kind”...HaHa...All our friends joke that he’s a “horse” so his wanting to venture
down the horse trails was fitting! We never saw the “airplane rock” despite our hour-long hike!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills...
rose lake (10+ mile) hike
Only way to cross the river without wading through neck-high water...
dexter = conquered!
the lower falls.
Ewwwww!!!
In honor of Jimmy Fallon and Kelcie Maurer!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills....
old man’s cave
snow cone break...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills...
cedar falls
this guy!?!?!?!?
dexter + kyle = awesome pic above the falls.....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills....
the upper falls
waterfall = gigantic
underneath the waterfall...pic doesn’t do it justice!
@ cedar falls....dexter is tuckered-out!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cabin @ hocking hills resort...perfection!
driveway to get to cabin = absolute terror
didn’t know if we should park Lola and hike it...
but....good news...as always, Lola was a total trooper and dominated this massive hill!
end of day#1 and dexter called it quits....literally exhausted!
awesome window-surround jacuzzi area...just dreamy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hocking hills day #2....
ash cave
such a gentleman!?!?!?!?
stopped to grab some bar-b-que...and the restaurant turned out to be “dog-friendly”. we were hesitant to say the least, but dexter was a complete surprise and acted as if he’d been dining with humans regularly. pleasantly surprised for sure!
exhausted..but a fabulous weekend in ohio
