Last year we had a forest friend who decided to use our garden as if it was his own personal buffet, AND it looks like Mr. Groundhog has decided to revisit us again this year… Last year I caught him in the act of devouring our lettuce.

This was the damage last year….

This year he's hit the garden buffet way earlier and did a huge amount of damage.
BEFORE
This picture was taken 2-weeks prior so all the plants were still tiny,
BUT you get the picture. Lettuce all the way to the right, and kale in the row beside it…
AFTER
Kale = demolished completely.
Entire row of lettuce is 1/3 the size.
Squash = lost 1/2 their leaves

After a week to rebound things are looking like they’ll make it, but now we’re keeping our fingers crossed that our forrest friends don’t raid the garden again. I mean we don’t mind sharing, but when they leave us absolutely nothing…Then we have a problem.
